Dharawad: All India Congress Committee General Secretary In-Charge Randeep Singh Surjewala said that Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, in his second Budget speech, allocated Rs. 1,000 Crore for the Mahadayi Project. He has announced that he will allocate funds, said Randeep Singh Surjewala and questioned Chief Minister that how will he release this grant in a month. So Bommai has told another lie, he said.

Speaking in Hubballi here, he said that the Congress Government will present the budget next time. We will complete the Mahadayi Project on our own,” he said.

He should be removed from the post of Minister. Surjewala, however, asked why they had not done so and said BJP Leaders are making such statements because of the fear of losing the elections.”
