The 190th Meeting of ESI Corporation concluded today in Chandigarh which took a decision to set up new ESIC hospitals in Belagavi (Karnataka), Shamshabad (Telangana), Baramati (Maharashtra), Kishangarh, Ajmer (Rajasthan), Balasore (Odisha), Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh) and Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh).

The meeting ended with some important decisions on ensuring strengthening social security for India’s Shram Jeevis.

Bhupender Yadav, Union Cabinet Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change; and Labour & Employment made a tweet in this respect.

The ESIC hospital in Belagavi has been a long pending demand for Belagavi.

The meeting took a decision to set up new ESIC hospitals in Belagavi (Karnataka), Shamshabad (Telangana), Baramati (Maharashtra), Kishangarh, Ajmer (Rajasthan), Balasore (Odisha), Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh) and Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh).

The ESIC meeting also decided to continue providing financial support to North Eastern States and Sikkim in running the ESI Scheme taking ahead Hon’ble PM’s clarion call for ‘Act East’.
