Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the poll-bound state of Karnataka on February 27th to inaugurate the newly built Shivamogga Airport and the redeveloped Belagavi Railway Station as per sources.

The South Western Railway is working hard to ensure that all incomplete work is finished in time for the Prime Minister’s visit.

Preparations are underway for the event, although the exact travel plan and details have yet to be revealed. In addition to the inaugurations, the Prime Minister is also expected to inaugurate a number of other works in both cities.

The ruling BJP has been inviting central leaders to the state ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, which are scheduled to take place in less than a month. The party has also announced that it will seek votes in the name of Prime Minister Modi.
